Homes by Novare Ltd is committed to developing quality new homes in Calgary's established inner core communities. As part of the re-gentrification of the higher density communities, we are building homes that maximize the amenities desired by families living and working close to downtown.

Calgary's inner core neighbourhoods contain parks and playgrounds, mature trees, as well as dining and entertainment areas often within walking distance.

Our homes appeal to young professionals, young families, families with teens and empty nesters. Our open floors plans include 3+ bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, double car garages, and pocket gardens. Care and consideration goes into the planning to make efficient use of the space and maximum storage. Client's specific and custom needs can be accommodated within each project.

Our design company Novare Design Ltd. has been in the residential design business in Calgary since 1987, working closely with clients to meet their individual needs in constructing new custom homes or renovating existing living spaces.

The principal designer, Nancy Inlow, has 30 years experience in the industry. Her background includes Masters Studies from the University of Calgary Faculty of Envionment Design in Architecture.

Knob Hill #1

A Traditionally styled Semi-Detached project, located at 2522 - 21 Street SW

  • Step 1: the design for your new home.

  • A solid bungalow that had been lovingly maintained for 60 years was 'recycled' to a new foundation in rural Alberta, saving on materials going to landfills.

  • It begins with a solid concrete foundation carefully excavated by a master with a back hoe, surveyed at least 4 times for accuracy of excavation, footings, cribbing, heights.

  • Exciting change taking shape.

  • Dramatic change to move from bungalows to two storey homes but is consistent with the street changes and immediate neighboring homes.

  • Second story walls complete and windows being installed.

  • The roof is on!

  • These homes are awaiting stone and brick work to complete their traditional front facades.

Amenities

These new homes are situated on a level lot tucked into the curve of a short street. The lots have small east rear yards between the house and the new garages which are accessed from the alley. The west facing front gardens open to a quiet tree lined street that dead ends on each of two avenues. The only traffic is resident vehicles and their guests.

Twenty-first street is located in the middle of a quiet inner city neighborhood a block from kiddie parks and off leash dog areas. The homes are within walking distance to trendy 17th Avenue shopping, dining and entertainment and a short drive to Marda Loop. It is a five minute drive to downtown for work, shopping and entertainment. Public transit to downtown, and to the universities is nearby. Elementary, junior high and high schools are all within the neighborhood.

  • Artistic rendition of future homes.

  • A solid bungalow that had been lovingly maintained for 60 years was 'recycled' to a new foundation in rural Alberta, saving on materials going to landfills.

  • It begins with a solid concrete foundation carefully excavated by a master with a back hoe, surveyed at least 4 times for accuracy of excavation, footings, cribbing, heights. Weeping tile ensures ground water and drainage will be accounted for.

  • A solid sub-floor now in place, all work is completed by journeyman carpenters.

  • Exciting change taking shape.

  • Second story walls complete and windows being installed.

  • Gettysburg grey acrylic stucco being applied and these homes begin to take on character.

These homes are situated on longer than typical city lots which gives us the opportunity to build over 2000 sq ft homes, larger than average detached double car garages and create on site parking for up to four vehicles....or a driveway in the rear that is big enough for basketball.
